[Company news] APEC senior officials visit Vinh Hoan’s head office in Mekong Delta

On Aug 24, 2017, within the framework of the APEC Week on Food Security and high-level dialogue on food security and sustainable agriculture development in response to climate change happening from August 21-25 in Can Tho City, APEC senior officials had visited Vinh Hoan Corporation’s head office and Tan Thuan Dong farm in Dong Thap Province, Mekong Delta.
During the meeting, Vinh Hoan’s CEO Nguyen Ngo Vi Tam had introduced the Vietnamese pangasius industry, main operations of Vinh Hoan, and its strengths. The delegates also went inside a processing workshop where thousands of worker turns hundreds of tons of daily raw fish into frozen products ready for exports to nearly 140 countries worldwide. At the end of the company tour, Vinh Aquaculture director accompanied the officials in a field trip to Tan Thuan Dong – a nearby pangasius farm to observe the real farming operations.
