[Company news] Vinh Hoan Corporation’s Chairwoman attended Alibaba Group’s 2018 Global Fresh Food CEO Summit

On May 10-11, Mdm. Truong Thi Le Khanh – Vinh Hoan Corporation’s Chairwoman attended 2018 Global Fresh Food CEO Summit (“F20”) where top 20 fresh food suppliers of Alibaba, also leading seafood companies globally, including Vinh Hoan Corporation gathered in a 2-day summit jointly hosted by e-commerce giant Alibaba and its Win-Chain supply chain.
The summit gave real insights into China fresh food market and consumers characteristics, and the infrastructures to enable the omni- channel new retail. Win-Chain is currently providing a one-stop solution from the farm to the table with its omni-channel sales, through which upstream fresh food suppliers can find a standardized and streamlined channel to approach Chinese consumers more efficiently.
Vinh Hoan started supplying pangasius products to Alibaba’s Tmall Fresh last September and so far has provided USD 3m worth of fish to this online platform.
Mdm. Khanh represented Vinh Hoan Corporation in a joint MOU of 20 seafood giants with Alibaba and Win-Chain. The MOU emphasizes on establishing reliable industry standards for key fresh food categories in China and at the same time, maintaining the sustainable environment in all processes from production to consumption.
She was also a panelist of the discussion on “A Global Perspective of Data Technology and Future Retail for Fresh Food” where she shared Vinh Hoan’s adaptive strategies to embrace the industry’s latest changes which shift the traditional B2B method to B2C business to provide more value-added products and more direct communication with customers through retailers
