Forbes Vietnam on August 15 organised a ceremony to honour Vietnam’s top 50 listed companies in 2019, which account for 63% percent of total market capitalisation on the HCM and Hanoi stock exchanges in the middle of May. Vinh Hoan named in Forbes’ Top 50 best listed companies in Vietnam in 2019 – This year marked Vinh Hoan’s 6th consecutive year appearing in Forbes’ list since 2014.

The 50 listed companies on the two stock exchanges have recorded a combined total profit of nearly VND127trillion (US$94 billion), a year-on-year increase of 19.2%. Besides, financial-banking, real estate, retail and consumer companies account for a large proportion of the market value.

To form this list, Forbes Vietnam uses the Forbes (US) company rating method, taking into account the characteristics of listed companies in Vietnam. The data used for the assessment is based on the audited financial statements of the five consecutive years of the period from 2014-2018 (in the case of companies with financial years ending mid-year Forbes Vietnam uses the data of last fiscal year). Furthermore, companies are rated according to the double-digit growth rate in terms of revenue, profitability, ROE, ROC and EPS growth for the 2014-2018 period.
