On June 21, 2016, Vinh Hoan’s Tan Khanh Trung farm has received Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification.

ASC, founded in 2010, is one of the world’s leading certification and labelling programme for responsibly farmed seafood. It is gaining more popularity among consumers, especially in EU markets, where, according to ASC’s studies in 2015, over 40% of the respondents recognized the logo and had positive association with it.

The fish coming from the ASC-certified farm can be labelled with marine ASC logo in the packaging or marketing materials to assure buyers that it has been responsibly farmed with respect for the society and environment.
Early 2012, Vinh Hoan had its Tan Hoa farm certified, marking the first ASC farm in Vietnam.

With the addition of Tan Khanh Trung, Vinh Hoan now has 4 certified farms with total area of 115 ha, makes it the owner of the largest ASC pangasius farming area in Vietnam.

Tan Khanh Trung itself has 50 ha for grow-out farming, which can provide up to 400 tons of raw material per ha per annum. Previously, it also achieved Global GAP and BAP standards.
