On April 11th, 2020, Vinh Hoan organized the groundbreaking ceremony for its new food grade refined fish oil factory in Cai Tau industrial zone, An Nhon, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province. Following the successful launched of the Company’s Collagen and Gelatin project extracted from Pangasius fish skin in 2015, the food-grade fish oil project is expected to add more value to its current supply chain via the utilization of by-products of Pangasius.
The factory’s production capacity is 100 tons of raw material per day with 70% of Olein oil and 30% of Stearin oil. Vinh Hoan designed its fractionation process, which was manufactured and installed by the experienced constructing company, who previously built Vinh Hoan’s Collagen factory. The main value differentiation of this factory are the unique low trans-fat technique via a fully automatic system and the real-time data collection system which provides the most accurate result. Thanks to applying high technology, Vinh Hoan’s finished product – Food-grade fish oil has proportional balance of fatty acid; enriches with monounsaturated acid while contains moderate linolenic acid suitable for dieters and people with obesity and high cholesterol.
The factory is expected to operate in the 3rd quarter of 2020.
